Kelowna in British Columbia was the first city to host the Winter Children's Games outside of Europe.
The fiirst time ever in the Games' history Hockey and Speedskating was offered.
Alpine and nordic skiing, snowboarding, figure skating and curling fascinated 472 athletes from 37 cities and 13 countries.
The excellent Kelowna Games fantastically organised with the help of 890 volunteers were a milestone in the short history of ICG Winter Games.
