The city of Lake Macquarie / Australia, was the first ever to host International Children's Games in the Southern Hemisphere. Whilst for most of the teams from 80 cities and 30 countries winter had already begun back home, summer had just started "down under".

With great hospitality and the help of hundreds of volunteers the ICG-Team of Lake Macquarie around Angela O'Brien, Jodi and Abbey Tweed, Jodie Harrison (to name only a few!), Lake Macquarie hosted an outstanding event that will always be remembered by 1.500 young athletes from around the world, and by coaches and members of the city delegations.

On our ICG-Website we would like to present you today a gallery of 80 photos that tell a little bit of the whole 'story' of the 48th International Children's Games: please, have a look! More 'stories' from Lake Macquarie will come up here on to bridge the time until the next International Children's Games in Alkmaar, the Netherlands, from June 24-29 in 2015.
