The Executive Committee of the International Children's Games is happy to announce that a Cooperation Agreement between the International Olympic Academy (IOA) and the International Children's Games (ICG) has been signed by IOA President Isidoros Kouvelos, and ICG President Torsten Rasch in Greece, April 2019.
Both parties are committed "to cooperate in order to establish mtually beneficial educational initiatives focused on Olympic matters".

News from Ex-ICG participant Liza Kop
Mar 05 2019- Details Liza Kop from Alkmaar, The Netherlands, was a gold medalist in the International Children's Games 2013 in Windsor, Canada.
She is now goalkeeper of the famous soccer club Ajax Amsterdam, and only a few days ago Liza has played for the national team of The Netherlands for the first time against Poland.
The Committee of the International Children's Games wishes Liza good luck for a successful international career!
Daegu will host the Summer Games 2021

The Committee of the International Children's Games is happy to announce that the International Children's Summer Games 2021 will be hosted by the City of Daegu, South Korea.
The decission to have Daegu as a host of International Children's Games for the second time after very succesful Games in 2012 was taken by the ICG Committee at Lake Placid, USA during the 8th Winter Games in January 2019.
The Games in Korea will take place from July 8 to July 13 2021.
Competitions will be offered in eight sports:

The Committee of the International Children's Games whishes to thank Lake Placid for having hosted the first ever International Children’s Winter Games (ICWG) in the USA.
The Games have been an incredible experience for athletes, coaches, heads of delegation, and city representatives.
With the International Children's Winter Games 2019 ICG's mission — fostering friendship and mutual understanding amongst children aged 12 to 15 from all over the world — has been fully accomplished!
We are more than happy that the wonderful city of Lake Placid, USA has become a member of the ICG family!

Good news from Kaunas
Oct 31 2018- Details As our friend Lina Duobaitė from the beautiful city of Kaunas / Lithuania reports, Agnė Šeleikaitė, who was a participant in the International Children's Games 2014 in Lake MacQuarie / Australia, has won a gold medal in 50 m breaststroke at the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games.With her success she follows in the footsteps of another great ex-ICG particpant from Lithuana, Rūta Meilutytė.

Tseng Chun-hsin wins two Junior Grand Slam finals
Oct 19 2018- Details Tseng Chun-hsin (born 2001) is a Taiwanese tennis player and member of the Chinese Taipei Davis Cup team. He has been a participant and two times gold medal winner in the International Children's Games 2016 in New Taipei City. The Committee of the International Children's Games congratulates Tseng Chun-hsin who has won two Junior Grand Slam finals this year - French Open and Wimbledon!

On behalf of the city of Lake Placid, USA, Mayor Craig H. Randall has sent an official invitation to the 8th International Children's Winter Games to all International Winter Sports Friends.
The city of Lake Placid invites young athletes from cities around the globe to join them in friendly competition from January 6 to January 11, 2019. Lake Placid will be the first United States city to host the International Children’s Winter Games. In the past the city has twice played host to the Olympic Winter Games, in 1932 and 1980. Lake Placid has a long history of international sports competition and currently hosts many international events each year. The city of Lake Placid will offer competition for youth ages 12 to 15 in the sports of Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Cross-Country Skiing, Figure Skating, Freestyle Skiing, Ice Hockey, Snowboard, and Speed Skating (both long and short track). In addition to sport competition, Lake Placid will offer cultural exchange events, entertainment programs and more, to help create lasting friendships and memories. Kirsty Gilmour, who played for Team Hamilton / Scotland in 2007 in Reykjavik Iceland, has been shortlisted for the Badminton Europe Female Badminton Player of The Year 2017!
Kirsty is currently the winner of the Scottish Open and the Austrian Open!
