47th ICG in Windsor Essex: a unique and amazing success

Windsor Essex celebrated wonderful and excellent International Children's Games for more than 1.800 participants from more than 80 cities around the world!

The Opening Cermony was "Olympic Standard" and the whole organisation with more than 1.200 volunteers with passion and a great heart for the athletes contributed to this marvellous turn out.The athletes offered great sport supported by a huge crowd of spectators in all venues.

ICG's General Assembly confirms Presidency of Torsten Rasch

The General Assembly (GA) of the International Children's Games voted for the third time Torsten Rasch as President of ICG.

The term length is four years from 2013 to 2017.

The GA also nominated Chulwon Shin from Daegu, South Korea as a new member of the Executive Committee, and Laurent Wehrli from Montreux, Switzerland, and Andrey Krivosheev from Ufa, Russia as new members of the Committee.

Honouring of former ICG-President Fritz Glenz in Ushgorod / Ukraine

During the official meeting of the Technical Commission in Ushgorod / Ukraine ICG-President Torsten Rasch laid down flowers in front of the former President Fritz Glenz memorial plate.

Fritz Glenz brought the first Summer Games to Ushgorod in the former USSR in 1989.

The City of Darmstadt, where he was a councellor, became later official twin town of Ushgorod.

For 25 years now the City of Ushgorod has been a strong partner of the International Childrens Games.

Metod Klemenc inaugurates Bangalore School Games 2012 and the "Champion in me" Sports Meet

By invitation of Elvis Joseph, the Director of Bangalore Schools Sports Foundation (Bangalore City India) Metod Klemenc, founder of the International Children's Games, inaugurated the 2nd edition of Bangalore School Games 2012 with thousands of children participating in multi-discipline of competitive sports and games.

The ICG Founding President was also present at the "Champion in me" 4th annual sports meet, conceptualized and organized by Bangalore Schools Sports Foundation for children living with HIV/AIDS. This sports meet is exclusively for Children living with HIV/AIDS and was initiated in 2009. Various support and care centres from Bangalore, and across Karnataka participate in a one day fun filled competitive sports event breaking down barriers, building self esteem, confidence and healthy behaviour.
